Pallet Security a Big Winner for Allied Security

Dépèche transmise le 16 mars 2009 par Business Wire

FARMINGDALE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Allied Security Innovations (OTCBB:ASVN) and its wholly owned subsidiary, CGM-AST, report that their combined products, ToppClip™ and Stretch Wrap Secure™ are among their fastest growing product lines. “There are millions of pallets estimated to be in transit during the course of any year,” explains Anthony Shupin, CEO. “We have responded to the needs of our clients to protect and secure the goods shipped in this popular manner. Our products focus on providing security and identification by using tamper-evident techniques to deter thieves and potential terrorists from pilfering or inserting destructive contraband such as drugs or weapons.”

“The CGM-AST ToppClip™ has been our best selling security device for pallets,” states Robert Kweller, President of TOTALPACK, Inc., a Miami based provider of goods and services to the shipping industry. “Our clients who ship high valued electronics secure their banded pallets with it. We are very excited about the demand for Stretch Wrap Secure™ for those pallets that are not banded.”

The US Transportation Safety Administration’s requirements for 100% cargo inspection of all cargo shipped via commercial airlines has also created a high degree of interest for these products. The benefits of having un-tampered products will enable quicker inspection, causing less delay in transit time.

The market for Stretch Wrap Secure™ is estimated to be worth many millions. Until now, there has been no consistent capability on the market to utilize tamper-evident tapes or labels due to the chemical characteristics of the stretch wrap. “Stretch Wrap Secure™” has not failed to indicate tamper evidence on every stretch wrap tested.

The ToppClip™ pallet protection system has proved to be very effective in thwarting thieves from pilfering goods shipped on banded pallets. Hundreds of thousands have been used and demand is increasing.

“Stretch Wrap Secure ™ requires no tools for application, can be customized to provide quick identification of products and whether they have been tampered with or pilfered and is the most cost-effective method for securing palletized cargo that we know of," states Bob Frucci, Director for North America at CGM-AST. “The manufacturers and shippers benefit from a liability and productivity standpoint. And the product can be instrumental in reduced inspections, less transit delays and enhanced security.”

CGM-AST remains the global leader in Tamper-evident security products. Company officials estimate these products represent a multi-million dollar opportunity.
