AirPlus International Releases Corporate Travel Survey Results on CSR/Green Initiatives in a Down Economy
ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AirPlus International, a global provider of corporate travel payment savings and solutions, releases its April edition of The Wire…from AirPlus entitled: Will Green Initiatives/CSR Survive a Down Economy? The report concludes that while some environment-savvy business travel and CSR initiatives may falter in the short term, the long term outlook shows promise. Interestingly, 51.1% think a new political focus on green jobs and decreased dependence on foreign oil will have a positive effect on CSR efforts. “I find it promising that 41% of corporate travel managers have increased their commitment and/or awareness during the down economy. And another 57% feel that a corporate commitment to CSR/Green initiatives will increase a company’s brand perception either overall or per industry,” said Richard Crum, President of AirPlus International, Inc. “CSR is an integral part of the corporate culture at AirPlus. In fact, our multiple award-winning carbon offset solution for our Company Account product is a great example of how we strive to design innovative solutions for ourselves and for our customers.”
The Wire…from AirPlus is a monthly installment of travel industry relevant content. Results are based on a survey of corporate travel managers in North America and Europe in February 2009.
