Dépèche transmise le 22 avril 2009 par Business Wire
PURCHASE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) (Nasdaq: AAWW), a leading provider of global air cargo assets and services, announced today that it has been invited to present at the upcoming IBM Impact 2009 SOA/ WebSphere conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 3 to 8, 2009.
Jim Barrecchia, Atlas Air Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture, will share Atlas’ experience and best practices with the attendees in identifying and launching SOA (service oriented architecture) middleware applications to help enhance customer satisfaction while driving cost efficiencies throughout the organization.
“We have the largest fleet of Boeing 747 freighters flying across the globe at all times. The amount of data we receive from the aircraft and from our ground operations is continuous and massive. Our ability to have these data streams interact with our business and with our customers allows us to make superior operational decisions, helps us to improve our services, and at the same time identify opportunities for greater efficiency,” said Mr. Barrecchia.
Richard Barnes, Atlas Air's Vice President of Information Technology, added: "Atlas' SOA strategy is delivering the internal benefits we anticipated and is also proving to accelerate the successful business integration of our operating units."
Mr. Barrecchia’s presentation will also discuss the justification, development and deployment of Atlas' SOA strategy using IBM's WebSphere suite of products.
