Dépèche transmise le 29 avril 2009 par PRNewswire
BRISBANE, Australia, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- STRATEGIC Airlines have today confirmed the signing of a lease agreement for an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, to service their ongoing contractual commitments.
The aircraft has been leased through Swiss Airlines International, and will replace Strategic's currently chartered Airbus A330-300.
Strategic Airlines (Australia) CEO, Mr. David Blake said, "It is a very exciting time for Strategic Airlines. Following on from our announcement earlier this week regarding the signing of our Airbus A320-200 aircraft, we are now able to confirm that we expect to take delivery of our Airbus A330-200 in late June and will commence commercial operations from October 2009."
Airbus Senior Vice President - Pacific, Isabelle Floret stated that the confirmation of Strategic's A330-200 lease was a testimony to the aircraft type and performance. "I am delighted Strategic Airlines has renewed its confidence in the A330, an aircraft which offers unbeatable economics, advanced technology and operating efficiency. The A330 is the leading aircraft in its class and I'm confident it will assist Strategic in growing its operations into new markets." Ms. Floret said.
The A330-200 will be used for current Australian contractual requirements, as well as additional charter and ACMI contracts in the region. "The A330-200 will complete the inaugural fleet for Strategic Airlines." said Mr. Blake. Enquiries regarding the charter of Strategic's Airbus A330-200 aircraft can be directed to the Brisbane Strategic Head Office, or alternatively visit for more information.
