NYKÖPING, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
CTT Systems AB (STO:CTT):
Airbus Corporate Jet Centre based in Toulouse France, has ordered a CTT Cair™ System to be installed, during fall 2009, in one Airbus VIP A319 aircraft. Airbus Corporate Jet Centre is a major completion center for the Airbus Corporate Jet Family, offering top quality cabin outfitting and associated services, with the newest standard of technology.
Cair™ is focused on the passengers’ health and comfort by providing humidification of the extremely dry aircraft cabins without condensation. Cair™ gives a pleasant relative humidity of 25%, compared to 3-5% without, for the passengers, thereby reducing dry air related problems (e.g. fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes, dry skin, spread of virus diseases).
“This is Airbus Corporate Jet Centre’s third order for our Cair™ system” says Ulf Liljenberg, Vice President Sales & Marketing of CTT Systems.” The market for large VIP aircraft is still keeping its momentum and customers within this segment are keen on adding our system as part of their specifications” continues Ulf Liljenberg.
The Cair™ system is based on evaporative cooling technology. Besides being extremely energy efficient, Cair™ uses a method that effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria within the aircraft. The dual-purpose system increases humidity for greater comfort and incorporates the Zonal Drying™ System to counter condensation problems.
CTT’s Zonal Drying™ System has been selected as basic equipment for the new B787 “Dreamliner” and CTT’s humidifiers are options in crew rest compartments and on flight deck. The A380 offers CTT’s humidifiers as option in crew rest compartments. CTT will also supply the Zonal Drying™ system and Humidifiers for the A350 aircraft, as options. A350 will have the Cair™ system, humidification for flight deck, cabin crew rest and specific parts of the passenger cabin available as options. This is the first time an aircraft manufacturer offers humidification for the passenger area.
CTT provides systems for humidity control in aircraft. CTT Systems’ offers the Zonal Drying™ System, and the Cair™ System. The Zonal Drying™ System eliminates condensation on the aircraft structure and is installed in many aircraft in use today. The Cair™ System provides humidification of the extremely dry first and business class cabins without condensation in long haul aircraft. CTT’s Customers include Boeing, Airbus and many airlines, along with partnerships with Lufthansa Technik. CTT Systems AB is located in Nyköping, Sweden and listed on the Stockholm stock exchange.
