SkyMall Takes Online Shopping to New Heights with AirTran and Gogo Inflight Internet Service – 35,000 Feet Actually
PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phoenix based SkyMall announced that it is a launch partner for AirTran’s new inflight Wi-Fi service, Gogo® Inflight Internet. Customers who make a purchase of just $75 or more at the web site listed in the special menu available onboard each Gogo equipped AirTran aircraft can have their $12.95 Gogo service fee refunded.
A+ Rewards members can also earn ¼ A+ Rewards credit for every $50 spent on SkyMall merchandise.
“SkyMall has always been about cool products and making shopping easier…so what could be better than buying those cool products from your laptop, iPhone or other portable Wi-Fi device right from your seat," said Casey Christ, Vice President of Airline Marketing at SkyMall. “Plus, once you complete your order, we’ll cover the cost of your Gogo Wi-Fi session so you can surf the Internet during the rest of your flight. However, since SkyMall.com is the most exciting place on the web, we expect customers will spend most of the time with us shopping for Remote Controlled Combat Cars and garden yetis.”
"Offering our customers inflight shopping at SkyMall.com is another example of the great things you can do with Wi-Fi on every flight,” said Tad Hutcheson, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for AirTran Airways. “Shopping and surfing the Internet have never been more convenient.”
“Shopping is one of the most popular activities on the web, and Gogo allows AirTran Airways passengers to shop from SkyMall at 35,000 feet in the air.” This frees the busy traveler to focus on the more important things in life when they get home…like racing Remote Controlled Combat Cars with their kids,” commented Greg Nylec, Director Platform Sales and Distribution at Aircell.
Details on how to take advantage of the offer are available in a special printed menu onboard each Wi-Fi equipped aircraft.
