America’s Ultimate Bachelor To Board Air New Zealand’s Matchmaking Flight
EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For months, Americans watched as Jason Mesnick searched for his perfect match on ABC’s The Bachelor. Now it’s Mesnick’s turn to facilitate the matchmaking, joining passengers on board Air New Zealand’s world-first Matchmaking Flight. Mesnick and his girlfriend Molly Malaney will be special guests on the October 13 journey, flying from Los Angeles to Auckland, New Zealand, to return to the country where they fell in love.
In honor of their special guests, Air New Zealand is offering Matchmaking Flight Web site members who book by July 15, 2009 a roundtrip ticket for $580* USD, a $200 discount on the $780* USD fare. To book online and access the discount, travelers are invited to upload an online dating profile at www.thematchmakingflight.com, and then enter the LOVE200 promotion code when booking the Matchmaking Flight.
“Molly and I fell in love with New Zealand during The Bachelor – it’s truly the most romantic place on Earth,” said Mesnick. “We can’t wait to return to the stunning scenery and Kiwi hospitality and we hope that all the Matchmaking Flight singles have as much success as we did in finding one another.”
“Jason and Molly know something about finding the right match, and we’re hoping they can share this with the singles on Air New Zealand’s matchmaking flight,” said Roger Poulton, vice president, Air New Zealand – the Americas. “Returning to New Zealand for the magic and romance – this time in a committed relationship – is very important to them, and we’re glad to take them back.”
Matchmaking Flight passengers will enjoy a complete matchmaking experience beginning with a send-off party at the departure gate in Los Angeles. At 30,000 feet, travelers can expect matchmaking advice from a celebrity host, complimentary party packs, an open bar, speed dating and other games. Once on the ground in Auckland, travelers are invited to the Great Matchmaking Ball at SKYCITY Convention Center, to be attended by single New Zealanders.
