HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mokulele Airlines today announced an interline ticketing agreement with Australian carrier Qantas. Effective immediately, passengers arriving and departing Qantas’ Honolulu gateway will be able to enjoy one-stop ticketing, check-in and baggage check when traveling to destinations beyond Oahu. This will mean Qantas passengers can enjoy a seamless travel experience with no need to claim and recheck luggage or check in with an agent when making connections between Qantas and Mokulele.
“We are excited to include among our airline partners the rich heritage and legendary customer service that Qantas brings,” said Scott Durgin, CEO of Mokulele Airlines. “Many Qantas passengers traveling between Australia and the U.S. mainland enjoy stopping over in Hawaii. This agreement makes it easier for them to fully explore the beautiful islands of Hawaii when doing so, and we look forward to extending the islands’ best air service to our valued guests from Qantas.”
From Honolulu, Mokulele offers service to Kahului, Maui; Kona and Hilo on the Big Island; Lihue, Kauai; and Hoolehua, Molokai.
Qantas was founded in the Queensland outback in 1920. Registered originally as the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited (QANTAS), it has built a reputation for excellence in safety, operational reliability, engineering and maintenance, and customer service. Today, Qantas is widely regarded as the world's leading long distance airline and one of the strongest brands in Australia. Qantas also operates subsidiary businesses including other airlines, and businesses in specialist markets such as Qantas Holidays and Q Catering. More information can be found at www.qantas.com.au.
