L-3 Awarded T-1A Jayhawk Logistics Support Contract

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Systems Field Support (SFS) division was awarded a 60-day base contract with eight option years from the U.S. Air Force to serve as prime contractor on the T-1A Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program. The total value of the contract with all options is $680 million.

The L-3 SFS operating unit in Madison, Miss. is responsible for overall program management of T-1A CLS, encompassing logistics, material supply support, and repair overhaul services for 179 T-1A aircraft based at Vance Air Force Base, Okla.; Columbus Air Force Base, Miss.; Pensacola Naval Air Station, Fla.; Randolph Air Force Base, Texas and Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. The T-1A Jayhawk aircraft are used by the Air Force for introductory flight training.
