Dépèche transmise le 18 novembre 2009 par Business Wire
EATONTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca: ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received a multi-year, $1.6 million production order for power supplies to be used in an In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system. Shipments of the multi-year order, which was received from a relatively new customer, are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010.
EMRISE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Carmine T. Oliva said, “Prior to receiving this production order, we received a number of development orders as our engineering team worked closely with this customer to design our power supplies into their IFE system, which is well-suited for both new-build and retrofit applications in commercial aircraft.”
The production order was received by the Company’s Pascall Electronics Ltd. subsidiary located in England. Pascall provides a range of power systems, RF devices and integrated subsystems for a number of commercial aerospace and defense applications, including IFE and multimedia In-Flight Entertainment and Communications (IFE&C) systems.
EMRISE power supplies are a key element of the IFE system and essential to the reliable delivery of a range of high quality in-flight entertainment features.
“We are very pleased to have received this order for power supplies as we believe this order could be an early indication of a beginning of a turnaround in the demand for IFE and IFE&C systems. We believe we are well positioned for any such turnaround as evidenced by receipt of this order,” Oliva added.
