CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ITA Software, Inc., the leader in developing innovative solutions for the travel industry, today announced that Fly.com™, the world’s most easy-to-use airfare search engine, has included data from ITA’s QPX™ service in its meta search functionality. Fly.com uses real-time QPX data, in addition to data from airlines and online travel agencies, to provide its millions of monthly users the best information on where to find the best airfare.
Fly.com uses QPX data, among other sources, to effortlessly search billions of combinations of flights and airfares to return comprehensive results in less than 15 seconds. Users can refine their search further by, among other options, airline, cabin type and layover duration. QPX’s data combines prices and availability with these user preferences to consider every possible itinerary and matching airfare, enabling Fly.com to provide those flights that truly meet their travel preferences.
“Since searching for the best travel options can be complex and time consuming, we wanted Fly.com to be the best at getting consumers their search results quickly, while adhering to the most important values in travel – quality, simplicity and value,” explained Brian Clark, senior vice president and general manager, Fly.com. “By taking advantage of ITA’s powerful data, we win people over by offering a search engine that is very easy to use and very fast.”
“Based on the performance and customizability benefits of QPX, ITA delivers data that Fly.com uses to offer consumers quick and easy search capabilities that help drive repeat business and brand loyalty,” said Gianni Marostica, chief commercial officer, ITA Software. ”We will continue to work closely with their team to help Fly.com take advantage of what QPX has to offer.”
