USGIF Website Recognized with Two Creativity Awards
HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) today announced its corporate web portal was honored with two 2010 Silver W³ Awards for outstanding creativity. Developed in partnership with A Brand New Way, the USGIF web portal was recognized in the charitable organizations/non-profit category and the association category.
Taking 12 months to revamp, the USGIF corporate web portal incurred an increase in visitors and web traffic due to its new capabilities for USGIF members and the GEOINT Community such as job listings, videos and news. The portal also serves as an academic resource by providing all information needed for colleges and universities to become accredited by USGIF as well as a resource for students to download scholarship applications and information on USGIF’s GEOINT 101 course. Other functions include members-only content such as presentations from previous events.
Honoring creative excellence on the Web, the W³ Awards annually recognize the professionals behind award winning websites, web video and online marketing programs. The W³ is the first major web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms and everyone in between. For a complete list of winners, visit www.w3award.com.
Receiving over 3,000 entries, the W³ Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Yahoo! and many others.
USGIF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational foundation dedicated to promoting the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and developing a stronger GEOINT Community with government, industry, academia, professional organizations and individuals whose mission is the development and application of geospatial intelligence to address national security challenges.
