Heavyweights from the Primes, DoD and NASA to Address Challenges for Aerospace and Defense Manufacturers Under Today’s Tight Budgets

DEARBORN, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The senior-most executives from aerospace and defense manufacturing are gathering this spring at AeroDef 2011 Manufacturing Exposition and Conference to address the challenges facing the major OEMs and their supply chains, under pressure to improve program performance due to continual budget pressure and cuts.

The conference will bring together the best minds in the industry to discuss how the Department of Defense, NASA, the large OEMs and their suppliers can best collaborate, integrate more processes and encourage innovation along the entire supply chain. More than 70 technology sessions are scheduled. The exposition hall will offer the opportunity to see everything from components to advanced engineering systems.

Organized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the three-day event, scheduled for April 5-7, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., is being structured by a committee of top executives from Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining.

Attendees will hear from:

  • The top executives overseeing aerospace and defense manufacturing technologies at the major OEMs, the DoD and NASA
  • Panelists addressing the challenges and opportunities of bringing innovation to all areas in the supply chain

Exhibitors will be arranged by technology zones, making comparisons of products, systems and services easier.

Register for the event at aerodefevent.com.
