WILMINGTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, Inc. (AMES), a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATSG), announced a contract with AeroLogic GmbH for line maintenance support of AeroLogic's Boeing 777 freighter aircraft at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
“We’re pleased that AeroLogic was attracted to our competitive cost structure and operational experience”
“We selected AMES to support our line operations because of their extensive line maintenance experience and their efficient approach,” remarked Felix Titze, Project Manager of Line Maintenance for AeroLogic.
AeroLogic is headquartered in Germany at Leipzig/Halle Airport and conducts worldwide freight operations with a fleet of eight B777 aircraft. The airline operates exclusively for its parent companies DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo, including inbound and outbound international shipments through DHL Express’ primary U.S. sort facility at the airport near Cincinnati, Ohio.
“We’re pleased that AeroLogic was attracted to our competitive cost structure and operational experience,” commented Mike Ebert, Director of Line Maintenance for AMES. “It’s a natural extension of our well-developed line organization, which already serves four airlines at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport.”
AMES President Brady Templeton added, “Our thirty years of experience in the air cargo industry allows us to quickly understand AeroLogic's needs and match them with the right cost-effective, value-added services.”
Demand for AMES' line and heavy maintenance services continues to increase, and the company is growing its workforce in response to improving market conditions.
