Alta Data Technologies Releases Mini PCI Express MIL-STD-1553 Interface
RIO RANCHO, N.M.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alta Data Technologies (Alta) announces the release of a full size F2 mini PCI Express interface Card: MPCIE-1553. The MPCIE-1553 product provides one dual redundant 1553A/1553B channel interface and is available in Dual (BM/BM or mRT/BM) or Full Function (BC/mRT/BM) models and includes AltaCore™ Common Data Packet engine, signal capture and signal generator – all advanced industry features available only on Alta products. The product also includes the modular software development kit, AltaAPI™, which provides maximum portability between major operating systems and Alta products, often without recompiling the application!
“This new MPCIE-1553 card, based on our proven AltaCore-1553, provides advanced MIL-STD-1553 capabilities for embedded and notebook/portable systems. While many of our competitors implemented PCI Express with low throughput PCI bridge chips, Alta implemented a native PCI Express design for increased performance and MSI interrupt support. Also, we took the extra design effort to fully comply with the F2 mini PCI Express standard, including height compliance and keeping components out of the ‘keep-out’ card areas,” says Jake Haddock, CTO of Alta.
Harry Wild, VP of Sales of Alta states, “The new MPCIE-1553 mini PCI Express card provides interface and test capabilities second to none, and our AltaAPI, AltaView-1553™ analyzer and AltaRTVal™ RT Validation software tools are the latest in modular, portable technologies. Customers will achieve significant savings in integration and test time with these new products. The A/D signal capture and signal generators are industry-leading features not found on competitor’s products. We also offer single-card combination ARINC and 1553 PCI Express Configurations, and our new Ethernet eNet-1553 product provides real-time 1553 to Ethernet connectivity.”
