Sentient Jet to Sponsor New Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint
LEXINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Breeders’ Cup, in coordination with Sentient Jet, one of the leading private aviation companies in the U.S., announced today that Sentient will be the official title sponsor of the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint, the recently announced 15th race of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Sentient is returning as a premier partner and the "Official Private Aviation Sponsor" of the Breeders' Cup for 2011, and has been a premier partner of the Breeders’ Cup since 2008.
“It is our privilege to be sponsoring the Breeders’ Cup for the fourth year in a row, and to have the opportunity, through our partnership, to recognize excellence in thoroughbred racing”
The Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Thoroughbred racing’s premier global event, consisting of 15 races and purses totaling $26 million, will be held November 4-5 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., and will be televised live on ABC/ESPN and to more than 120 countries.
The $500,000 Sentient Jet Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint, a race for 2-year-old colts, geldings and fillies, will be run on Nov. 4. The Juvenile Sprint becomes the third race that Sentient will title sponsor at the Breeders’ Cup. Sentient is also the title sponsor of two international grade one races - the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, a seven furlong race for fillies and mares, 3-years-old and up, and the $1.5 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint at six furlongs, for 3-year-olds and up.
As a part of its current agreement, Sentient Jet commercials will air during the live coverage of the ABC and ESPN telecasts of the World Championships. Sentient Jet will also have a prominent media presence in Breeders’ Cup Classic Challenge series telecasts on ESPN this summer and fall, including commercial time and in-show elements and billboards leading to the Championships.
For the fourth consecutive year, Sentient will also continue to sponsor the “Perfect Trip” award based upon the winners of the 68 Breeders’ Cup Challenge qualifying races. A select panel will choose which Challenge race winner who personifies the “Perfect Trip.” Sentient will provide that horse’s owners the opportunity to experience their own "Perfect Trip" with complimentary round-trip private jet travel for six people to the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
“Sentient Jet’s support is appreciated by the horse racing industry,” said Carter Carnegie, Breeders’ Cup Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development. “We are pleased to have a partner in the private aviation category that continues to recognize the importance of the Breeders’ Cup as a marketing vehicle to reach our affluent audience.”
"It is our privilege to be sponsoring the Breeders’ Cup for the fourth year in a row, and to have the opportunity, through our partnership, to recognize excellence in thoroughbred racing," said Marty Guinoo, Chief Executive Officer of Sentient Jet. "We are especially pleased to be sponsoring the new and exciting Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Sprint, in addition to the two other Sprint races we have entitled the past 3 years.”
Guinoo concluded: “We are also excited to once again be sponsoring the “Sentient Perfect Trip” award and to give this year’s winner the opportunity to experience what all Sentient clients receive: a perfect trip of their own, flying through Sentient to this year’s World Championships.”
