The Travelocity Roaming Gnome Boards Korean Air’s First A380 Flight from JFK

SOUTHLAKE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This August, Travelocity’s Roaming Gnome® will be traveling to Korea on the inaugural flight of Korean Air’s A380, the world’s largest passenger aircraft. You can follow the Roaming Gnome on his Facebook page and Twitter feed as he flies across the globe.

“Not only are we excited about our first flight from JFK on the A380, we look forward to sharing in the Roaming Gnome’s first adventure to Asia.”

Korean Air’s A380 delivers luxury and comfort to passengers, providing a spacious interior configured in a three-class layout with only 407 seats, the lowest seat configuration of any A380 currently flying. The plane also features the world's only onboard duty free shop where products from the airline's expansive in-seat catalogue are on display. Shoppers can see and touch the actual goods, then return to their seats to make their purchases in privacy. In addition, the onboard bars and lounge areas give travelers a unique in-flight experience on long-haul flights.

“I'm honored to have been invited to Korean Air's first A380 flight to Seoul from New York,” said the Roaming Gnome. “Incidentally, this will be my first trip to Asia. I've had my boots polished for a week now in anticipation of visiting the capital of South Korea. I’ve read that it’s a mega-city. Mega indeed!”

The Roaming Gnome will board the A380 flight at New York’s JFK Airport and will arrive at Seoul Incheon International Airport Aug. 10. During his stay in Korea, the Roaming Gnome will be touring the city’s state-of-the-art airports and other local sites.
