Applied Manufacturing Technologies Announces New Safety Services Business Unit
ORION, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Applied Manufacturing Technologies (AMT), a leading supplier of factory automation design, engineering and process consulting services today announced its new Safety Services Business Unit established to offer its customers consulting assistance to assess risks and validate proposed solutions for their industrial automation applications. The unit will provide qualified consultants to solve any safety need, facilitating risk assessments and proposing solutions. The company has appointed industry expert Roberta Nelson Shea as Director of Safety Consulting Services for the new unit. Ms. Nelson Shea is a nationally recognized expert on safety and risk assessment and will head the unit’s team of consultants to offer AMT customers hazard assessment and solution validation services.

She has also written many articles and whitepapers on manufacturing safety. Ms. Nelson Shea previously served as president at Safety Compliance Services, LLC and COO & General Manager at Pilz Automation Safety, L.P.
