DHL appoints new Chief Executive Officer Industrial Projects for DHL Global Forwarding

BONN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DHL, the world's leading logistics provider, announced today that Hans Toggweiler has been appointed Chief Executive Officer Industrial Projects (CEO IP) at DHL Global Forwarding, Freight. In his new position Hans Toggweiler will be responsible for the development, growth and profitability of DHL’s industrial projects for customers in the energy, mining, power generation and construction industries.

A 40-year veteran of the transportation logistics industry, Hans joined the Group in 1998 and has worked in several senior leadership roles including his most recent position as CEO for DHL Global Forwarding, Americas. He was responsible for the management of the business in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. In his new role, Hans will continue to serve on the DHL Global Forwarding, Freight Management Board and report to Roger Crook.

Mathieu Floreani, who previously held the post of CEO Express Canada has taken over as the head of DHL Global Forwarding Americas. He will also serve on the Global Forwarding, Freight Management Board and report directly to Roger Crook. Within his new post Floreani will be responsible to drive further growth and development in the Americas region.

Floreani joined DHL in November 2004, holding the position of Marketing and Sales Director at DHL Express. In April 2006 he joined the DHL Express France Management Board as VP Marketing and Sales and assumed responsibility for the Customer Service centers and the Business Support and Development functions. In 2008 Mathieu moved to Canada to lead the DHL Express organization as country CEO.
