TBC Integration Demonstrates 16 HD Broadcast Channels in Only 36 MHz At Satellite 2012 Conference and Exposition in Washington, D.C. March 12-14
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TBC Integration, Inc. (www.tbcintegration.com), will be demonstrating sixteen (16) MPEG-4 AVC High Definition channels in a single 36 MHz satellite carrier by combining products from Harmonic, a leading provider of versatile and high performance video solutions, and NovelSat, a manufacturer of the world’s most innovative 3G-Sat ground equipment for satellite transmission, NS3™. By using Harmonic’s highly efficient encoders and statistical multiplexing with NovelSat's ground-breaking NS3™ modulation/demodulation, TBC Integration offers customers the ability to deliver more video services in less bandwidth. Customers can choose to either lower their monthly operational cost or increase their channel count with revenue-generating programming.
“On average, our customers are experiencing 28% bandwidth improvement over DVB-S2 with NovelSat’s NS3™ modulation. Combining this technology with Harmonic’s MPEG-4 AVC encoders using statistical multiplexing is a game-changer.”
