Jet Edge International: Redefining the Industry Model in Private Jet Services and Management
Dépèche transmise le 3 avril 2012 par Business Wire
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jet Edge International is reinventing the private aviation industry by providing its clients the highest level of boutique private jet services as well as multiple jet programs via one of the most diverse and state-of-the-art fleets in the country.
“We are here to provide the ultimate client service”
Bill Papariella, one of the savvy executives behind the company, was born with an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit. As a veteran industry executive, he knows the aviation business exceptionally well, listens to and understands his clients, and is not shy about taking on new business challenges. Having spent six successful years in the business of private aviation working at Sentient, Marquis Jet and NetJets, a Berkshire Hathaway company owned by Warren Buffett, Bill knew the time had come to launch a new venture.
In July 2011, with the help of Richard Bard (CEO – Bard Capital Group) and Jim Hansen (CEO – Western Jet Aviation), Papariella and four other senior sales executives left NetJets and co-founded Jet Edge International. With a half-century of private aviation experience among them, the group acquired a Southern California-based aircraft operator in August 2011 focused on large cabin Gulfstream specific jet charter. Since the acquisition, the team has aggressively expanded its fleet internally and signed exclusive partnerships with well known outside fleet providers to offer a large base of consistent “owned” aircraft to prospective clients, as well as a diversified product set of jet card, lease or on-demand flight programs that are designed to complement or provide full coverage for individuals or corporations.
“The business of private aviation has matured in many ways over the past 10 years. Prospective clients and aircraft owners have become extremely savvy about their options, and Jet Edge International is proving that it can provide boutique-level services to a range of current and prospective private jet fliers as well as brokers that are aware of our expanding fleet of quality aircraft,” said DJ Hanlon, executive vice president of Jet Edge International and former senior NetJets executive. “For our prospective clients we offer a full range of programs on-fleet and through our industry fleet partnerships, which ensures each client has access to the proper solution for each trip. For aircraft owners, our company offers a full range of services, including acquiring or selling aircraft, complete flight operations, crew management, a certified maintenance base, and flexible charter revenue options,” he added.
In the last year, Jet Edge International has doubled the number of aircraft under management and, in addition to their large cabin Gulfstream fleet, the company has diversified its fleet to include super midsize aircraft. Its expanding operating team has over 250 years of combined aviation experience and has recently been recognized by safety authorities Wyvern and ARG/US. With an industry-leading product mix and unparalleled service, clients have the ability to fly on well-appointed aircraft, enjoy personalized customer service, and benefit from an aggressive cost structure which can lead to significant savings when compared to the major providers.
“We are here to provide the ultimate client service,” said Bill Papariella, Jet Edge International’s president and founder. “Our clients told us they want world-class safety systems, cutting-edge aircraft, great pilots and an amazing customer experience from one full-service company with the resources to meet their needs. They’re tired of the huge fractional programs and mediocre experiences that are all too common in the industry, and we’re committed to exceeding customer expectations,” he added.
Given Jet Edge International’s unique positioning, assets, financing and collective expertise, the company is well-positioned to continue its reinvention of the private aviation industry.
