Ces avions vont continuer à se vendre comme des 'petits-pains' ! Remplaçant des MD-80, ils rehaussent le compte de résultat de manière importante ! Quand les Cies. peuvent les financer, ou lever l'argent pour les financer, elles vont le faire, ... -- et nous pourrons recommencer à voir de bonnes choses pour les monocouloirs de Boeing, sans que les Cies. américaines réclament tout de suite des moteurs de nouvelle génération ! L'acquisition des actuels B737NG va apporter des résultats meilleurs ! SOURCE:Flight International Russia's OAK looks to control Sirocco Tu-204-120C supply By Tom Zaitsev Russia's United Aircraft (OAK) is looking for ways to take over sole responsibility for the supply of Tupolev Tu-204-120C freighters to Air China Cargo from Sirocco Aerospace International. RR, motoriste, va regarder & surveiller ceci de très près ! ------------------------ London-based Sirocco Aerospace, which was set up in 1999 by Kato Group of Egypt, handles the programme of building Rolls-Royce RB211-powered Tu-204-120s at Russian factory Aviastar and marketing them globally. In 2001, it brokered an agreement with China, which placed firm orders for five Tu-204-120C freighters and an option for 10 more. Deliveries have been delayed, but are due to start imminently. Oui ! OAK, of which Aviastar and Tupolev Design Bureau are an integral part, says it is seeking to deal directly with Chinese customers. "Negotiations with Sirocco to this effect are under way," it says. "There are issues on which its position looks dubious to us. If we enter into the contract [with China], then Sirocco should withdraw from it." Oh ? ------------------ Boris Zenkov, Sirocco's executive president and head of its Moscow outlet, declines to comment on this specific issue, but says: "We continue working towards carrying out the programme as planned despite having run into a number of difficulties that are beyond our control." Aviastar last year assembled the first freighter for Air China Cargo while China's airworthiness authority validated the type certificate for the Tu-204-120CE fitted with the English-language cockpit. Tupolev president and chief designer Igor Shevchuk expects first delivery to take place within a month. Given that Aviastar has also completed two more models and only needs to mount engines on them, they could follow shortly afterwards. "We'll most likely supply these three aircraft with participation of Sirocco and within the framework of the original contract," says Shevchuk. "As for the remaining two freighters under the firm order and 10 options, there's no clarity yet. Comme le dit Max Kingsley-Jones de Flight : "Lessors swap freighter orders to passenger to fill 787 gap " US leasing companies Aircastle and Guggenheim Aviation Partners are responding to the increased demand for widebodies, in the wake of Boeing 787 delivery delays, by switching orders for freighter aircraft to passenger versions. As part of a revision to its 15-strong Airbus A330-200F order, which has seen it reduce the deal to 12, Aircastle has switched an undisclosed number to the passenger version to "provide a more flexible mix of freighter and passenger aircraft". "There is a very good demand for the passenger aircraft," says chief executive Ron Wainshal. "[Airbus doesn't] have enough [passenger aircraft] capacity available...I think the deal was a win-win for both of us." He adds that three of the four A330-200Fs scheduled for delivery during the second half of 2010 have been placed with a Chinese operator on long-term lease. Guggenheim, which specialises in cargo aircraft leasing, is understood to be finalising deals to switch some of its A330-200F and Boeing 777F orders. According to industry sources The lessor - a launch customer for the A330-200F - has switched four of its six orders to the passenger variant. Deliveries of the six A300-200Fs were due to begin in 2010, and Guggenheim has selected both Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce to supply engines for some of the aircraft. Guggenheim is also understood to be finalising a deal to change some of the four 777F orders it holds to the -300ER passenger variant. Sources say that one of these has been placed with an Asian flag-carrier.
