FMC Technologies (NYSE:FTI) announced today that its Airport
Systems Division has been awarded a contract by the Dallas/Forth Worth
(DFW) International Airport Board to provide various airport services.
The three-year contract total is valued at approximately $38 million
in revenue. Additionally, the contract provides an option to extend
the term for two additional years at approximately $13 million in
revenue per year.
The scope of supply includes the service and maintenance of all
Terminal E gate systems, which include passenger boarding bridges and
related equipment, baggage systems, and the physical facility.
Currently, FMC Technologies provides similar services to DFW Terminal
B and Terminal E under separate contracts. This new contract includes
FMC Technologies' Intelligent Operations Performance System (iOPS(TM))
Technology Package. iOPS(TM) is designed to improve terminal equipment
reliability and efficiency. iOPS(TM) core functions enable a reduction
in aircraft turn-times at the gate and decrease fuel usage and
emissions by improving the efficiency of ground support functions.
"We are pleased that DFW has selected us for this prestigious
contract," said Charles H. Cannon Jr., Senior Vice President, FMC
Technologies. "This new contract demonstrates FMC Technologies' growth
and leadership in providing a wide range of proven, reliable services
to airlines and airports worldwide."
