Blue Sky Network, the global satellite logistics solution provider
for two-way linking and managing remote transportation assets, today
announced it has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for
installation of its equipment on commercial Boeing 757 aircraft from
the Federal Aviation Administration. Using the certified Blue Sky
Network Iridium-based data and voice equipment, operators and managers
can enhance logistical opportunities of their Boeing 757 aircraft and
view their location at anytime, from anywhere in the world.
The Blue Sky Network satellite communications equipment gives
airlines and fleet-operators two-way communications capabilities,
which allows them to manage and easily communicate with all their
aviation assets. Additionally, those on the ground can use Blue Sky
Network's online web portal, SkyRouter, for global tracking and event
management (take-off, landing and inactive/active asset updates) from
anywhere they have Internet access.
"We are proud that our equipment has met the rigorous Part 25 STC
requirements and process," said Jon Gilbert, president for Blue Sky
Network. "As we continue to increase the number of certifications we
received, aircraft owners will have a sense of security knowing Blue
Sky Network equipment will provide them with the enormous value of
satellite messaging, voice communications and flight tracking."
