US Airways (NYSE: LCC) will accept tickets for standby travel from
passengers who were scheduled to fly on Aloha Airlines flights to/from
the Hawaiian Islands.
Aloha Airlines customers will be able to travel on a space
available standby basis for a $100 fare per person per non-stop
segment plus any applicable taxes and fees on any US Airways flight
including flights to/from the following Hawaiian cities: Honolulu,
Lihue, Kahului (Maui) and Kona. Travel must be completed by April 7,
2008 and travelers are advised that space is very limited.
US Airways operates the following schedule between its Phoenix hub
and Hawaii:
-- Honolulu - Two round trips Mon., Fri., Sat. and Sun.; one
round trip Tue., Wed., Thurs.
-- Kona - One daily round trip
-- Lihue - One daily round trip
-- Maui - Two daily round trips except Thurs.
Standby tickets may be purchased exclusively through US Airways
reservations at 800-428-4322. Reservations fees do not apply for this
special fare. Customers will not be able to purchase these fares at
the airport.
At time of check-in customers must show proof of purchase on Aloha
Airlines to take advantage of this special offer. Proof may include an
e-ticket confirmation letter, an e-ticket receipt, an e-ticket
itinerary card or paper tickets printed by Aloha Airlines. US Airways
agents will not be able to accept photocopies.
