Horizon Air is running more flights, many with larger aircraft, to
meet an expected increase in passengers during the busy summer travel
season and beyond.
Flights will be added using a combination of 74-seat Q400
turboprops, 37-seat Q200 turboprops, and 70-seat CRJ-700 jets. The
schedule increases are as follows (and all are year-round unless
otherwise indicated):
Starting June 3
-- Eugene: A new daily, nonstop Q400 flight to/from Los Angeles.
-- North Bend/Coos Bay: A fifth daily Q200 flight to/from
Portland, through Sept. 8.
Starting June 24
-- Calgary: A fourth daily Q400 flight to/from Seattle, through
Sept. 8.
-- Bozeman: A third daily Q400 flight to/from Seattle.
-- Eugene: A daily Q400 flight replacing two Q200 flights to
Seattle. Brings the total to two Q200 flights and three Q400
flights between the two cities.
Starting July 1
-- Kalispell: A fourth daily Q400 flight to/from Seattle, through
Sept. 8.
-- Missoula: A fourth daily Q400 flight to/from Seattle, through
Sept. 8.
-- Palm Springs: A new daily, nonstop CRJ-700 jet flight to/from
Seattle, through Sept. 8.
-- Redmond/Bend: A daily Q400 flight replacing two Q200 flights
to Seattle. Brings the total to three Q200 flights and one
Q400 flight between the two cities.
-- Spokane: A new daily, nonstop CRJ-700 jet flight to/from
Sacramento and to/from Los Angeles.
-- Wenatchee: A fifth daily Q200 flight to/from Seattle, through
Sept. 8.
Starting July 22
-- Boise: A new daily, nonstop CRJ-700 flight to/from San Diego.
-- Bozeman: A fourth daily Q400 flight to/from Seattle, through
Sept. 8.
-- Idaho Falls: New daily, one-stop Q400 service to/from Seattle,
Portland and San Jose. Also, three daily flights to/from Boise
will be upgraded to two Q400s.
-- Lewiston: A fifth daily Q200 flight to/from Seattle.
-- Spokane: A second daily, nonstop CRJ-700 jet flight to/from
Sacramento. Also, a new daily, nonstop CRJ-700 flight to San
Diego.
The additional seat capacity and flights will enable Horizon to
better meet travel demand throughout its system, as well as offer more
connections to its sister company, Alaska Airlines, and other travel
