Northwest Airlines today introduced the nwa.com Gift Registry, a
unique way to give and receive the gift of air travel. The new Gift
Registry is an ideal gift option for any occasion, including weddings,
showers, graduations, anniversaries and more.
"The nwa.com Gift Registry provides an easy way to meet a need
that many people face regarding travel plans to celebrate a special
occasion," said Jim Cron, vice president of passenger marketing and
sales. "It's also a great gift idea for those 'hard to shop for'
friends or family members."
Individuals or couples can create their own gift registry by
visiting Northwest's Web site, nwa.com and selecting 'Gift Registry'
under the Products & Promotions tab. A Northwest WorldPerks frequent
flyer number is needed to create a gift registry. Customers who do not
have a WorldPerks number may enroll in the program, free of charge,
prior to creating their gift registry.
The Gift Registry provides registrants with the ability to create
their own gift registry web page that includes a description of their
travel plans, a personal story and the dollar amount needed to meet
their travel goal. Registrants can customize their registry page using
one of several available themes, and can also upload a personal photo.
Convenient features make the nwa.com Gift Registry easy to use.
Registrants can use the nwa.com Gift Registry to send announcements,
monitor registry balance, view contributors and send thank you
e-cards. Family and friends can visit the registry at any time and
give a gift of $25.00 or more using a credit card.
When ready to travel, recipients can apply all or part of their
nwa.com Gift Registry balance towards airfare booked on nwa.com,
including flights throughout the world operated by Northwest Airlines,
Northwest Airlink, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines or any of Northwest's
SkyTeam Alliance partners or other WorldPerks airline partners. Gift
Registry funds can even be applied to the air portion of NWA
WorldVacations packages.

the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. For
