Sun Country Airlines announced today that it has been ranked on
the list of Top Domestic Airlines in Travel+Leisure's 2007 World's
Best Service Awards. The awards are based on a readers' survey that
ranks travel companies based on personal service and attention.
"I'm extremely proud to work with a group of employees dedicated
to providing a level of service uncommon in the airline industry
today," said Jay Salmen, CEO of Sun Country Airlines. "The devotion to
service by everyone at the airline - from baggage handlers to flight
attendants - is one of the things that sets Sun Country apart in the
marketplace."
Sun Country Airlines is joined in the top five by Southwest
Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, and Midwest Airlines.
All domestic carriers - from large legacy airlines to small charter
airlines - were eligible for the award.
Sun Country was also ranked in the top five list of domestic
airlines in Travel+Leisure's 2006 World's Best Awards, an award that
takes cabin comfort, food, in-flight service, and value (in addition
to service) into account. Conde Nast Traveler also ranked Sun Country
as one of the best airlines in 2006.
