Horizon Air today reduced fares by as much as 76 percent for
travel on a number of very short flights in its route system.
The fare reductions apply to several routes of up to 163 statute
air miles, including flights between Bozeman and Butte, Mont.; Great
Falls and Helena, Mont.; Kalispell and Missoula, Mont.; Eureka/Arcata
and Redding, Calif.; Eugene and Redmond/Bend, Ore.; Pullman, Wash.,
and Lewiston, Idaho; and Pendleton, Ore., and Pasco, Wash. They also
apply to the nonstop service between Bozeman, Mont., and Idaho Falls,
Idaho, Horizon is launching on July 22, 2007.
"We think when travelers see Horizon's new low fares and then take
a look at the latest high price at the corner gas station, the
advantages we provide will be clearer than ever," said Patrick
Zachwieja, Horizon's vice president of marketing and planning. "You
can't beat the convenience of having us take you comfortably and
quickly to your destination on these short flights."
Zachwieja said he expects the new low fares on these short routes
will be particularly attractive to time-pressed business people and
travelers needing to make flight connections at another airport.
Horizon's fare cuts include "walk-up" (no advance purchase
required), 7-day and 14-day advance-purchase fares. The fares can be
purchased one-way or roundtrip. There are no minimum or weekend-stay
requirements on any Horizon fares.

Fares shown are one-way and do not include the following
government-imposed taxes and fees charged on a per person basis:
Airport passenger facility charges of up to $9, federal segment tax of
$3.40 per segment (take-off and landing), and U.S. security fee of
$2.50 per enplanement. Taxes and fees are based on one-way travel and
will be up to double if traveling roundtrip. 7- and 14-day
advance-purchase fares are nonrefundable. All but the 0-day
advance-purchase fares may be limited and may not be available on all
