XOJET Inks Cessna Citation X Deal Valued at More Than $600 Million
Communiqué publié le 24/09/2007 à 19h00

Today at the National Business Aviation Association convention XOJET, the world's fastest-growing private aviation company, announced it has placed an order for 30 Citation X business jets valued at more than $600 million. With this order, XOJET expands its total Citation X fleet to 47 jets.

"The growth of private aviation is fueled by a new type of traveler--executives who fly privately more than 100 hours a year," said Paul Touw, president and CEO of XOJET. "XOJET's new model was built to give these customers a better way to fly private, and market response to our solutions has been exceptional. Our commitment to the super-midsize jet category and the Citation X has helped fuel our rapid growth, and we look forward to introducing 30 new Citation X jets into our fleet."

XOJET will begin taking delivery of the order in Q1 2008. Deliveries are scheduled to continue through Q4 2010. The company will leverage this fleet expansion to serve its customer base of more than 500 leading corporations, executives and influential individuals for whom flying private is essential. XOJET is the first company to provide a complete range of private jet ownership, leasing and on-demand travel solutions built especially for the most frequent business jet fliers.

"XOJET's new private aviation model has brought significant innovation to the table for private flyers, and it's great to know our Citation X jets have helped the company set a winning standard of service and performance," said Cessna chairman, president and CEO Jack Pelton. "The Citation X defined the super-midsize category, and its high speed, range and comfort have made it the leader in this class for more than 10 years."

Single Class of Aircraft Drives Customer Value

Like successful commercial airlines, XOJET uses a single class of aircraft to drive down costs and improve service levels, passing the benefits on to customers. Super-midsize jets are the fastest-growing segment of the business jet market, with total fleet size growing at nearly three times the rate of the overall private jet industry.

The Cessna Citation X is a favorite among frequent air travelers because of its 600-mph cruise speed, which makes it the fastest jet on the market. Able to fly from Los Angeles to New York in just four hours, the Citation X's Mach .92 speed can mean up to 15 percent shorter flight times. This translates into operating costs that rival much smaller and less capable midsize jets. The Citation X's coast-to-coast range and efficiency also allow XOJET to serve regional and transcontinental needs with one aircraft, building greater economies of scale for customers.
