XOJET Announces Challenger 300 Fleet of 80 Jets Valued at Approximately $1.9 Billion
Communiqué publié le 25/09/2007 à 16h10

Today at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention XOJET, the world's fastest-growing private aviation company, announced the order of 20 Bombardier Challenger 300 jets with options for an additional 60 aircraft valued at approximately $1.9 billion based on list price. This is the largest order of Bombardier super-midsize jets in history.

By expanding its growing fleet to include the Challenger 300, XOJET now offers its customers the choice of the most spacious cabin in the super-midsize class. Because of strong early demand, XOJET is offering its existing ownership and lease customers priority access to the new jets. Challenger 300 aircraft deliveries will begin in 2008.

"Our breakthrough model for private aviation has gained the respect and loyalty of the world's most frequent business fliers," said Paul Touw, president and CEO of XOJET. "Focusing our fleet on super-midsize jets allows us to deliver the service levels and cost advantages our customers expect. The Challenger 300 gives our customers additional choice, and its large cabin and unmatched comfort perfectly complement our existing fleet."

With an operation that will now grow to include 127 jets by 2012, XOJET is the fastest-growing private aviation company in history.

Designed from the onset to achieve the highest levels of reliability and maintainability, the Challenger 300 jet has already proven its ability to perform under high utilization operations, and will drive additional value for XOJET customers.

"The Challenger 300 jet offers the optimal super-midsize cabin to business travelers," said Jahid Fazal-Karim, senior vice-president, sales, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "This aircraft was designed specifically for transcontinental travel with eight passengers. The Challenger 300 jet's sophisticated widebody cabin design and supreme reliability provides a great blend of comfort and efficiency for executive fliers."

Proven Strategy of Super-midsize Focus

XOJET uses a series of innovations to provide its customers with a significantly higher service level at a dramatically lower cost. One key strategy is to use a single class of aircraft to drive down costs and improve service levels, passing the benefits on to customers. Super-midsize jets are the fastest-growing segment of the business jet market, with total fleet size growing at nearly three times the rate of the overall private jet industry.

To increase customer choice while maintaining the operational efficiencies that are unique to the XOJET model, the company will operate its Citation X and Challenger 300 programs in dedicated business units. Each fleet will be managed separately to drive deep flight and maintenance crew expertise and create significant economies of scale.
