B/E Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq:BEAV), the world's leading
manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products and a leading
aftermarket distributor of aerospace fasteners, today announced at the
Dubai Air Show that it has been selected by Emirates Airline to
retrofit Emirates' existing fleets of B777-300ER and A340-500 aircraft
with Super First Class cabins and next generation premium business
class seats. B/E Aerospace was also selected to supply similar
equipment for Emirates new-buy B777 and A380 aircraft. The awards for
both retrofit and new-buy aircraft are initially valued at more than
$130 million, not including option aircraft.
The Emirates Super First Class private suites, similar to the
suites that B/E Aerospace currently provides to Emirates, include a
fully-flat bed with in-seat massage, dine-on-demand room service,
in-suite personal mini bar, and sliding doors for the ultimate in
privacy. In addition, the suites include stowage room for hand
baggage, a personal wardrobe within the suite, fine leather upholstery
and a luxurious honey walnut finish. B/E Aerospace has worked very
closely with Emirates to create a "corporate business jet quality"
feel to the First Class cabin and to provide a highly individualized
sense of luxury.
The next generation premium business class seats that B/E will
provide will feature multi-zone massage seats that fully recline to a
78" long lie-flat bed, providing ample room for taller passengers.
These seats will ensure maximum personal space with high privacy
dividers.
In addition to the seating awards, B/E supplies Emirates all of
their cabin interior products including a wide variety of food
preparation and storage equipment, including beverage makers, ovens,
refrigeration and other related equipment for their wide-body
aircraft.
