AirWard Delivers Shipment of Thermal Resistant Containers
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AirWard Corporation, a subsidiary of Astrotech Corporation (Nasdaq: ASTC), announced today that it has delivered its first shipment of certified containers that meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements under Rule HM-224B. The order was manufactured at AirWard’s facilities in Houston, Texas and delivered to the customer earlier this week.

Pickens, chairman and chief executive officer for AirWard. “By delivering the first shipment of certified thermal resistant containers, we are taking a critical step for the industry by making air travel and cargo transportation safer.”
AirWard has developed a suite of containers that meet or exceed all critical requirements of Rule HM-224B (CFR 49 Parts 173, 175 and 178), including containers for the full range of aircraft oxygen cylinders ranging from 4.25 cf to 115 cf capacities. AirWard is the first company to deliver certified products meeting the new DOT requirements.
