D.W. Morgan Expands ‘Supply on Demand’ Operations in Mexico
Dépèche transmise le 3 juin 2009 par Business Wire
PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The D.W. Morgan Company has expanded its award-winning supply-chain management and transportation logistics services in Mexico.
After nearly a decade providing forwarding services in Mexico, the company has now established a corporate presence in Guadalajara. Morgan will deploy its own dedicated fleet of trucks in Mexico, transporting goods for high-tech manufacturers throughout the country, as well to North America.
“This is yet another example of our company establishing a ‘Supply on Demand' footprint everywhere there is a key high-tech manufacturing center, whether it’s in North America, Europe, Africa or Asia,” said David W. Morgan, CEO and founder of D.W. Morgan Company.
“It’s easy to put goods on an airplane and ship them off, but you lose quality, consistency and visibility,” David Morgan added. “With the company having its feet on the ground throughout the world, it controls that last critical last mile for a manufacturer, providing uniform management and consistent trucking services on a global basis.”
Guadalajara makes sense because it is a burgeoning high-tech manufacturing and distribution center, and because of its proximity to Texas, where D.W. Morgan has operations in Austin, Dallas and Houston, David Morgan explained.
