AeroMexico to Re-Establish Non-Stop Service between San Antonio and Monterrey, Mexico July 9
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AeroMexico, the global airline of Latin America, has announced that it will offer four weekly, non-stop flights between San Antonio and Monterrey, Mexico, starting July 9. Flights will depart San Antonio at 1:35 p.m. CDT and arrive in Monterrey at 2:35 p.m. CDT on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Return flights from Monterrey depart at 11:45 p.m. and arrive at 12:50 p.m. on the same days. Convenient connections will be available in Monterrey to other destinations in Mexico. The airline provided non-stop service between San Antonio and Monterrey for more than 12 years until the overall economic downturn last fall adversely affected passenger demand. AeroMexico currently offers non-stop flights from San Antonio to Mexico City with connecting service throughout its system.
Frank Galan, Vice President, U.S. Division, AeroMexico, said “AeroMexico believes this is a good time to re-establish our non-stop service between San Antonio and Monterrey. This has historically been a strong route for our airline, and we see positive trends developing in overall passenger demand in several markets in Texas and Mexico. Offering the quickest possible service will support the continued growth of business relationships and the needs of leisure travelers in these international markets.”
Passengers on the one-hour flight will also benefit from AeroMexico’s superior, on-time performance record, along with the airline’s winning combination of competitive fares and premier style of service. While on board the 50-seat ERJ-145 jets used on this route, passengers will receive complimentary snacks and beverages, including cocktails. The airline was named “Best Airline in Mexico” in 2008 by readers of both Global Traveler and Business Traveler, two of the world’s leading travel magazines.
AeroMexico and its subsidiary, AeroMexico Connect, currently operate more than 600 daily flights through the airline’s new Terminal 2 at its Mexico City International Airport hub to more than 45 destinations in Mexico, 17 U.S. locations in 12 states, two cities in two Canadian provinces as well as major cities that include Buenos Aires, Paris and Tokyo in 11 other countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia.
