Fantastic Summer Savings up for Grabs on London-West Midland Services

LONDON, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin Trains is slashing the cost of travel between London and the West Midlands by almost a third. From 3 August, passengers can travel for a lot less between London Euston/Watford Junction/Milton Keynes Central and Coventry/Birmingham International/Birmingham New Street; and between London and Rugby.
The new Super Off-Peak single fare represents a saving of over GBP25.00 on a normal Off-Peak single fare from London to Coventry. Other Virgin Trains Super Off-Peak single fares include London to Rugby for GBP12.50 (a saving of over GBP20.00) and Milton Keynes to Birmingham New Street for GBP12.50 (a saving of GBP11.30).
The special Super Off-Peak single fare is available from stations or the Virgin Trains website, in advance or on the day of travel. It is valid on Virgin Trains services only and will not be accepted on any services on the route operated by other train companies. These fares are available until 13 September 2009.
Faster and more frequent services to the West Midlands
Virgin Trains runs three trains an hour from London to Birmingham. Journey times have significantly reduced following the introduction of the new timetable in December 2008, with a typical journey time of 1h22 from London to Birmingham.

Notes to editors - Super Off-Peak Single fares are not valid on departures from London before 1100 and between 1400 and 2015, or arrivals into London before 1300 and between 1700 and 1929 (Monday-Friday). - On weekends, the Super Off-Peak Single is not valid on departures from London before 1100 or arrivals into London before 13:45.
