Falcon On-Line UPSs Honored with Chaos Manor Orchid and User’s Choice Award
IRWINDALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Falcon Electric, Inc. (www.falconups.com), a leading manufacturer of power protection and conversion solutions, today announced that it has been honored with a Chaos Manor Orchid and User’s Choice Award. Dr. Jerry Pournelle, renowned columnist and editor of the Chaos Manor Reviews, bestowed the prestigious awards to Falcon’s On-Line uninterruptible power supply (UPS) products for their reliability and longevity.
“If your work is important, it’s worth protecting with a Falcon; their systems just work, and my experience has been that their batteries last considerably longer than those of other brands.”
“We are very pleased to be recognized once again from Dr. Pournelle and especially honored to receive the Chaos Manor Orchid Award as it’s not given to many companies,” said Ron Seredian, vice president of marketing for Falcon Electric. “Our UPS systems are known for their high quality, longevity and the ability to deliver consistently reliable backup power when it’s needed most.”
Falcon Electric has been a pioneering manufacturer of award-winning UPS systems, frequency converters, and AC voltage regulators for over two decades. Holding the first patent for high-frequency transformerless on-line UPS technology below 10kVA, Falcon delivers power protection designed for mission critical, military, industrial, scientific and computing environments.
“All of the UPS systems in use at Chaos Manor come from Falcon Electric and have for several years,” explained Pournelle. “If your work is important, it’s worth protecting with a Falcon; their systems just work, and my experience has been that their batteries last considerably longer than those of other brands.”
Falcon’s SSG and SG Series feature a true regenerative double-conversion On-line design to provide the highest level of protection against the widest spectrum of power problems. The SSG UPSs offer coveted features such as the ability to withstand extreme temperature ranges (-4°F to +131°F) and operate in harsh environments. They also feature hot-swappable, replaceable 10-year rated batteries (when operated in a 77° F temperature environment). A cut above typical UPSs, the SSG and SG Series’ flexible design allows them to easily be configured as a frequency converter or active power conditioner for worldwide power applications. Accepting a 50/60Hz input and providing a fixed 60Hz or 50Hz output, the SSG Series supplies a tightly regulated output of ±2% and excellent extended brownout protection.
“We’re proud to say that we make one of the most reliable, maintenance-free UPSs on the market,” said Seredian. “Our engineers continue to break the mold in UPS designs and consistently deliver solutions that customers need. For example, our 10-year rated batteries in our high-temperature SSG Series are now available as an option for all of our UPS products. Falcon has become known for manufacturing the most headache-free UPSs on the market today. This translates to hundreds of thousands of happy customers, just like Dr. Pournelle.”
