Frontier Airlines Is Denver’s True Low Fare Airline

Dépèche transmise le 4 août 2011 par Business Wire

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New data from the Department of Transportation (DOT) lists Frontier Airlines as having the lowest fares on the majority of routes it serves nonstop from Denver. Frontier is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:RJET),

“While many airlines talk about low fares in their advertising, our low costs ensure that Frontier continues to deliver them”

The most recent DOT data lists the average fare charged by each carrier serving a given route in the first calendar quarter of 2011. On 59 of the 60 nonstop routes it flies from Denver International Airport, Frontier Airlines provided customers with fares that were lower than the average fares paid by all airline customers. On 41 of the routes, Frontier had the lowest average fare of any carrier.

“While many airlines talk about low fares in their advertising, our low costs ensure that Frontier continues to deliver them,” said Jim Reichart, Frontier’s vice president of marketing and sales. “As Denver’s hometown airline, we’re proud to not only offer lower fares, but to provide genuine travel value – with customer-friendly amenities like advance seat assignments, departures from the close-in and easily accessible A Concourse at Denver International Airport, 24 channels of DirectTV® on all Airbus flights and available STRETCH seating with up to five inches of additional legroom, as well as personal touches like baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies.”

The airline’s recent Colorado Day sale featured fares as low as $9.99, with bookings hitting a single-day record for the airline on Monday, August 1.
