ICF International Hires Staff of AeroStrategy LLC, Expands Services into High-Growth Aerospace Manufacturing and Aviation Supply Chain Management Sectors

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ICF International (NASDAQ: ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, announced it has hired the entire 14-person staff of AeroStrategy, an internationally known and respected aviation and aerospace management consulting firm. The move reinforces ICF’s aviation business, ICF SH&E, with additional services and an expanded client base. AeroStrategy staff will now be working under the ICF SH&E name.

“This move augments ICF SH&E’s aviation capabilities and extends our footprint, especially in the Asia-Pacific region through AeroStrategy’s Singapore office.”

As the global demand for air transportation grows, competition for manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), along with other aftermarket support services, will continue to increase commensurately. The combined group’s service portfolio allows ICF SH&E to expand into the high-growth aerospace manufacturing and aviation supply chain management sectors and to provide additional analytical and advisory support services. In addition, ICF SH&E now will provide an enhanced set of integrated aviation services, including those related to military sustainment, business aviation, rotary wing, and low-cost airline management.

“By adding the staff of AeroStrategy, we will expand ICF SH&E’s capabilities in key areas─including the aerospace manufacturing and aviation supply chain management sectors─by adding complementary services and strategic relationships with new clients, which will bolster ICF SH&E’s overall portfolio and market penetration,” said Sergio Ostria, executive vice president for ICF International. “This move augments ICF SH&E’s aviation capabilities and extends our footprint, especially in the Asia-Pacific region through AeroStrategy’s Singapore office.”

Among the staff joining ICF SH&E as vice presidents are AeroStrategy partners and co-founders Kevin Michaels, Ph.D., and David Stewart.

Dr. Michaels has 26 years of aviation experience, including hundreds of consulting engagements for leading aviation and aerospace companies worldwide. He is a globally recognized expert in the aerospace manufacturing and MRO sectors, and also has significant expertise in business-to-business marketing, customer satisfaction, and strategic planning. His experience spans all major market segments, including air transport, business and general aviation, and military.

Mr. Stewart has more than 28 years of experience in aviation. He has led assignments with leading aerospace manufacturers, service suppliers, and airlines in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific region, developing significant experience in the airline, aircraft equipment, and maintenance sectors. He is a recognized expert in low-cost airline operations and business models and the MRO market. The majority of his project experience has focused on strategy development, market analysis, and transaction (due diligence) support.

Also joining the ICF SH&E leadership team as a vice president is Hal Chrisman. Mr. Chrisman brings 26 years of aviation and aerospace industry experience split evenly between consulting and executive-level industry positions. Mr. Chrisman has expertise in commercial and military aerospace original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and MRO sectors. His functional focus has been strategic planning, process improvement, industrial marketing, and due diligence.

AeroStrategy was founded in 2001 and is known for pioneering MRO market forecasting. Its team of consultants in the United States, Europe, and Asia offers a rare combination of industry knowledge and classic consulting skills to solve client problems thoroughly, practically, and cost-effectively.
