DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Now there’s more than one way to beat the heat, thanks to TXU Energy and Southwest Airlines. Starting Sept. 8, TXU Energy will offer customers a cool new way to save on electricity and earn Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Points towards free flights.

As part of an exclusive offer from TXU Energy and Southwest Airlines, retail electricity customers in Texas who sign up on one of three new TXU Energy LUV 2 Fly plans can earn up to 30,000 Rapid Rewards Points to use towards free flights. Participating customers will also get guaranteed price protection against rising power costs, and a simple, fixed rate from TXU Energy.

TXU Energy LUV 2 Fly Plans

Customers who sign up for TXU Energy LUV 2 Fly 30SM get 10,000 Rapid Rewards Points toward free flights to any one of the 70+ destinations Southwest Airlines serves. And, customers receive an additional 10,000 points after their first 12 months on the plan and another 10,000 points when the term ends, for a total of 30,000 points.

Customers who sign up for TXU Energy LUV 2 Fly 24SM get 10,000 Rapid Rewards Points toward free flights to any one of the 70+ destinations Southwest Airlines serves. And, customers will receive an additional 5,000 points every year they’re on the plan for a total of 20,000 points.

Customers who sign up for TXU Energy LUV 2 Fly 12SM get 2,500 Rapid Rewards Points toward free flights to any one of the 70+ destinations Southwest Airlines serves. And, customers will receive an additional 2,500 points at the end of the term for a total of 5,000 points.
