POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cyclone Power Technologies Inc. (OTCQB: CYPW), developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, announced today that the Company has hired Douglas Hutchinson as its Vice President of Business Development. Alongside this strategic hire, the Company has chartered a path for rapid expansion in 2012.

Over his career, Mr. Hutchinson has been responsible for over $2 billion in sales and development projects, including working with GE Eco-Imagination, Jacobs Engineering, HHCP Architects and top research institutes such as Rice University. Mr. Hutchinson also has over four decades of experience in automotive fabrication and mechanical production.

To further its mission of integrating Cyclone engine technology into a variety of power generation and transportation applications, the Company has set an aggressive, yet attainable goal sheet for 2012. These goals include ramping-up engineering capabilities to complete another 20 to 30 prototype engines for sale to current and new customers, and commencing small-scale production of certain engine models. Mr. Hutchinson will be influential in assisting the Company in the securing and financing of a larger facility, completing alliances with new customers and manufacturers, and developing strategic plans to manage its projected growth.
