Leading in-flight entertainment provider, IFE Services, sends senior team to world's major airplane interiors event
A senior team from IFE Services, the leading in-flight entertainment [http://www.ifeservices.com/services/in-flight-entertainment ] (IFE) content service provider, will be attending this year's Aircraft Interiors Expo.
The event, being held from the 27-29 March in Hamburg, is being billed as "the launch pad for cabin programmes showcasing tomorrow's designs, in-flight entertainment, connectivity and passenger services."
This year a lot of attention will be given to the role that in-flight entertainment plays in enhancing the passenger experience [http://www.ifeservices.com/services ]. Indeed the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) will be hosting an educational session during the event entitled the 'Onboard Experience'. Sessions will cover 'Cabin Trends and Passenger Expectations', 'Consumer Devices in the Air' and 'Seat and IFE Integration.' 500 companies will be exhibiting their products and services at this year's show and over 7,500 delegates are expected to attend.
Commenting on the importance of Aircraft Interiors, IFE Services' CEO Andy McEwan, said: "There will be a major focus on in-flight entertainment at this year's event as the industry moves forward at pace. In recent months, we've seen a rapid increase in the adoption of onboard connectivity and wireless streaming by airlines as they look to bolster onboard revenues and offer passengers an even better experience. We are also seeing significant interest in the use of popular portable devices to deliver content such as the iPad, Samsung Galaxy and Sony PSP. These technology trends are likely to have a big impact on the way passengers are entertained in-flight, so there will be plenty to discuss over the three days."
IFE Services is one of the world's most experienced providers of in-flight entertainment solutions and currently services over 40 airlines. The company tailors IFE packages for airlines that include in-flight movies, TV shows [http://www.ifeservices.com/services/in-flight-entertainment/in-flight-tv ] and audio and produces original productions such as safety films, entertainment guides and GUI design.
The company's UK team recently moved into state-of-the-art new offices after a multi-million pound refurbishment of its studio complex.
