Frontier Airlines Expands South of the Border

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frontier Airlines said today that it will add new nonstop seasonal service between Denver (DEN) and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ), taking the number of nonstop Frontier routes from Denver to a record 68. The service will operate Saturdays beginning June 9 and continuing through August 4, 2012.

Additionally, Frontier will double its existing nonstop summer service between Denver and Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD). A second weekly flight will operate Wednesdays from May 23 to August 8, 2012, in addition to the year-round service already offered on Saturdays. Frontier also operates an enhanced Cabo schedule during the winter months, typically running eight flights weekly from December through April.

Introductory fares – which include all transportation fees, surcharges and taxes – begin at $350* each way for Denver-Punta Cana service and $246* each way for Denver-Cabo San Lucas service. The new and expanded service will operate on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft – featuring five rows of STRETCH seating with an additional 5 to 7 inches of legroom and the airline’s new SELECT seating product, as well as 24 channels of DirecTV^® with three channels of hit movies available at every seat.
