GT Exhaust Spark Arresting Silencers Certified by ATEX
LINCOLN, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GT Exhaust of Lincoln, Nebraska recently received ATEX Certification for its A202 cylindrical and H9 low profile spark arresting silencers. With the ATEX Certification, these silencers are recognized for meeting the most stringent design and manufacturing requirements to trap and destruct sparks, minimizing risk in potentially explosive environments.
“and under units, while ANSI flanges on inlet / outlet is standard on 8”
Designed to meet the provisions of European Directive 94/9/EC and also the requirements of ASTM F2876-10, GT Exhaust ATEX silencers are designed to trap and destruct embers in the exhaust stream, preventing their release into the atmosphere, making them ideal for use in oil & gas and marine applications.
This portfolio of products is the first to receive ATEX Certification in the US. With this Certification, customers will be able to select an ATEX silencer base on their requirements, not on the one or two options available in the marketplace.
The silencers are available in A202-XXXX and H9-X, the silencers feature 316L stainless steel construction in various configurations. Cuff inlet / Tube outlet is available on 6" and under units, while ANSI flanges on inlet / outlet is standard on 8" and larger units. The particle trap is configured for easy cleanout with access from two ends. Manufactured from 316L stainless steel, these silencers are corrosion proof and suited for humid environments.
A full line of accessories for the silencers is available including mounting brackets, bellows, wyes, elbows and rain caps.
Data sheets and associated information will be posted on the GT Exhaust web site.
