Norwegian Cruise Line CEO and Distinguished Stanford Professor Join XOJET Board

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--XOJET, Inc., the leader in private aviation, today announced the addition of two prestigious new members to its board of directors. The two new XOJET board members are Kevin Sheehan, Chief Executive Officer and President of Norwegian Cruise Line, and George G.C. Parker, Dean Witter Distinguished Professor of Finance (Emeritus) and former Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB). Dr. Parker and Mr. Sheehan bring exceptional experience and expertise that will contribute to XOJET’s continued growth and expansion.

As a Professor of Finance at the Stanford University GSB, George Parker’s teaching and research interests focus on corporate finance, management of financial institutions and corporate governance. He has served on the board of directors of numerous organizations, including Continental Airlines, and since 2003 has served as the faculty chairman of the Advisory Panel on Investment Responsibility for the Board of Trustees of Stanford University. Dr. Parker holds a B.A. from Haverford College and M.B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford School of Business. He received the 2003 Robert T. Davis Award for Faculty Lifetime Achievement at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the 2007 Faculty Teaching Award for the Stanford MBA Program.
Drawing upon his extensive 30-year background in the business world, Kevin Sheehan joined Norwegian Cruise Line in 2008 and has led the turn around and revitalization of the company both nationally and internationally despite a tough economy. His impressive background includes helping found the second-largest Spanish-language television network, Telemundo. Previously, he served as the Chairman and CEO of Cendant Corporation’s Vehicle Services Division, where he was responsible for major brands including Avis Rent A Car, Budget Rent A Car, Budget Truck, PHH Vehicle Management, First Fleet and Wright Express. While there, he integrated the Avis and Budget rental car brands into one network and also successfully completed a 100% initial public offering of Wright Express. Prior to joining Cendant Corporation, Sheehan served in leadership positions at STT Video Partners LLP and spent several years consulting to various private equity firms, while also lecturing at Adelphi University in New York as a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Accounting, Finance and Economics. In 2010 he was appointed Chairman of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association’s Executive Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of the Cruise Line Industry Association’s (CLIA) board and on the board of Gatehouse Media (NYSE: “GHS”). He is a graduate of Hunter College, and New York University Graduate School of Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
