HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Officials from AeroMexico, Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, the Mexico Tourism Board and other organizations celebrated the launch today of twice-weekly, non-stop service between Montreal and Mexico City on Thursdays and Sundays. AeroMexico’s first flight departed Montreal at 8:25 a.m. EDT with its arrival in Mexico City scheduled at 1:00 p.m. CDT (12:00 p.m. local). Frank Galan, Vice President, U.S. Operations, AeroMexico, said, “We are excited about launching AeroMexico’s new Montreal-Mexico City route, which is the second Canadian market the airline has added in the last month. These flights are another strategic expansion of our North American operations to improve international travel between Canada and more than 45 destinations in Mexico and 12 other major cities in Latin America, Europe and Asia that we serve.”

Presenters included Jean Teasdale, Vice President, Real Estate and Commercial Services, of Aéroports de Montréal; Counsel General Edgardo Flores Rivas, Mexican Consulate in Montreal; Juan Carlos Arnau Avila, General Director of Strategic Programs, Mexico City Ministry of Tourism; Frank Galan, Vice President, U.S. Division, AeroMexico; and Gabriel Parra, Regional Sales Director, U.S. Eastern Region and Canada, AeroMexico. They described the importance of AeroMexico’s new flights in expanding international business, travel and tourism opportunities between the two markets.
