Crossbow Technology Announces Miniature Attitude Heading Reference Card for UAVS
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crossbow Technology, Inc., the leading developer of stand-alone FAA-Certified MEMS AHRS, today announced that its single-card AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference is now available for integration within UAV flight control systems.
The DO-178B Level A approved AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference Card - a first-of-its-kind high performance AHRS - was originally designed for FAA-certified avionics systems (EFIS and Autopilot) in manned aircraft. “The AHC525 card-level AHRS creates exciting new opportunities for UAV flight control system developers,” said Mike Horton, President/CEO, Crossbow Technology. “Level A software assures our customers the highest level of confidence in mission critical operations, and the small card-level configuration embedded inside the avionics system minimizes the weight, volume and cost associated with enclosures and interconnect cabling.”
Crossbow’s AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference Card offers a flexible architecture that allows for customer-specific features and interfaces. “Our years of AHRS design and manufacturing experience supporting manned and unmanned aircraft markets have enabled us to define the critical requirements leading to next generation AHRS solutions,” Horton said.
