SPEEA Attending Paris Air Show to Promote Skilled and Experienced Workforce in Washington State
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SPEEA President Tom McCarty is leading a delegation from the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), IFPTE Local 2001, to the Paris Air Show June 20 to 26 to promote the skilled and experienced workforce represented by the union.

Joining McCarty at the 49th annual Paris Airshow at Le Bourget airport are SPEEA Labor Representative Stan Sorscher and Communications Director Bill Dugovich. The three, along with representatives from the International Association of Machinists, District 751, are part of the Washington state delegation and exhibiters in the U.S. Pavilion, Hall 3, E-106. This is the union’s first visit to the show.
For the show, SPEEA and the IAM produced a video of union members talking about the experience, skills and pride they bring to work every day. The 7-minute video was filmed with help from the Washington State Labor Council and cooperation from The Boeing Company. The video will be displayed at the show and available for viewing on the SPEEA website starting Monday, June 20.
