Allegheny Technologies Incorporated announced that it has signed a long-term sourcing agreement with the Goodrich Corporation for the supply of aerospace forgings used for landing gear components. The agreement covers aerospace structural forgings sold to Goodrich’s Landing Gear facilities located in the US, Canada, and Poland by ATI Ladish’s ZKM Forging operation for the period 2012 through 2015. ATI Ladish is an operating unit of Allegheny Technologies. This agreement includes forgings for commercial, regional, and business aircraft.

The final demonstration took place Sept. 1 at the Yuma Proving Grounds, Yuma, Ariz., and consisted of a series of eight balloon-drops at altitudes of up to 57,000 ft, delivering sensor-emplacement Close-In Covert Autonomous Disposable Aircraft (CICADA) vehicles within 15 feet of their intended landing locations.

US Airways Group, Inc. today announced November and year-to-date 2011 traffic results. Mainline revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month were 4.7 billion, up 3.4 percent versus November 2010. Mainline capacity was 5.6 billion available seat miles (ASMs), down 0.6 percent versus November 2010. Mainline passenger load factor was a record 83.8 percent for the month of November, up 3.2 points versus November 2010.
