ITT Exelis today reported 2012 first quarter revenue of $1.4 billion, a 6 percent increase over the same previous-year period. Net income was $70 million, down 15 percent from the first quarter of 2011, due in part to costs associated with the company’s recent spinoff from ITT Corporation. Adjusted operating income grew 29 percent, to $151 million, and adjusted operating margin improved to 10.6 percent from 8.7 percent in the first quarter of the previous year. Adjusted earnings were $0.47 per share, up 4 percent from the same period in 2011.

Frontier Airlines Reports April 2012 Traffic

Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary traffic results for April 2012. Frontier’s traffic decreased 5%, to 1.0 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), while capacity decreased 7%, to 1.2 billion available seat miles (ASMs). Frontier Airlines served 1.1 million passengers in April, a 10% decrease from April 2011. For the month, Frontier had a load factor of 86% compared to 84% in April 2011. It was Frontier’s tenth consecutive record monthly load factor.
